All of these labels are based on negative experiences. Using them, you turn past failure into an excuse for current inaction. Your passivity gives you even more evidence that these negative labels are accurate. As a result, you are even more drowned in your inaction and completely refuse to attempt, summarizing everything that happens with similar phrases: “I just can not do it” or “this is my nature”.

The main question is not that you have to be the best in everything, but how important the attempt is. If the development of behavioral habits (regular training, cessation of smoking, curbing violent temper) is possible for everyone, then the achievement of certain professional, creative, sports heights is not. Even after many attempts and tremendous efforts, you may simply not have the talent that is needed in these matters. But before you come to this conclusion and “throw a white towel,” you need to exert maximum effort to achieve the desired goal. Because it may be the opposite situation, when the cause of failure is not the lack of talent, but the unwillingness to show perseverance.
