What methods of hair transplant exist

FUE is the most popular method of hair transplantation in foreign clinics. With the help of a special instrument, similar to a ballpoint pen, doctors remove hair grafts from the donor zone. These zones are the back of the head, arms, legs and even the groin of the patient. After extraction, the hairs are grouped into 2–4 pieces and inserted into the bald area. The FUE device, with the help of which the doctor performs transplantation, does not leave extensive scars: the diameter of the instrument does not exceed 5 mm.

There are only two minuses: after the procedure, scars remain, but small (up to 5 mm), and the cost is higher than that of FUT. Pros: painless, non-traumatic, efficiency 98%.

DHI is an innovative method, the essence of which consists in single hair transplantation. The doctor extracts the hair follicles with a special tool, the diameter of which is only 0.9 mm. In this case, the donor zone does not pre-shave, unlike other methods.

The DHI technique is a painstaking and rather slow job that takes from 3 to 10 hours. Each hair doctor enters the scalp at a certain angle of inclination.

The disadvantages include the duration of the operation, its complexity and the small number of specialists who carry out such operations. Therefore, the price of such work exceeds the cost of the two previous methods.
