How to organize a gym at home

Not everyone has the opportunity to engage in a full-fledged gym. Sometimes the closest fitness center is located tens of kilometers from home. And sometimes there is simply no time to stand in the sweaty queues for a particular sports equipment. After all, paying a subscription can also be a problem. In such cases, we do not grab our heads, but try to find a solution, and it is actually very simple: organize the gym right at home.

Choose a room

This is the first thing you have to do. It may seem to you that choosing a room is easy. But the fact is that it must have a number of characteristics. First, the room must have access to clean air, in other words – to be well ventilated. Secondly, the room that you want to use for training should be free from all kinds of rubbish, especially beating. Best of all, when the room is nothing at all, except for things that will be useful to you for training. Thirdly, the training room should not be passed – it is always better to use a lonely place, so that relatives, a girl or even random people (where are they from in your house?) The situation with simulators, which you decide to install at home, is slightly different. Considering the fact that you have a roof over your head, and access to sockets is also available, you can already take simulators stuffed with electronic stuffing. You have a big choice, so you need to make a start also on what kind of exercise you want to do: strength or cardio. But we would recommend to take several simulators at once, which are aimed at both.

Separately, we add that the basis of the home gym, as a rule, are free weights. You do not need to buy different types of weights and dumbbells – it is enough to acquire an adequate set that will be suitable for the development of your muscles. Free weights should be taken “for growth”. That is, you obviously need to take a few dumbbells that you can’t lift now – let them stand aside as a motivation for the exercises.

Think about the little things

Have you ever been to the gym? If yes, then I must remember that a good gym is not only a room with an abundance of simulators. It is also a place where people think about such trifles as clean towels, access to simple water, gloves for lifting free weights, and an athletic belt for lifting heavy weights. Also think about covering the floor: on the bare floor to engage in completely not in a rush. Buy a few rugs on which it will be convenient to do certain exercises. Little is thought about this, but such subtleties significantly improve the training process: they seem to serve as a complement to a good tuning for the result.

Make a training program
